What Do We Believe?

Faith Statement

We are committed to Making known the love of our Redeemer through the following core beliefs.

The whole Bible is the source of absolute truth as inspired by God. It is without error and determines everything we believe and do.

There is only one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – the Trinity.

Mankind was created perfect but through disobedience to God fell into sin. The whole human race now shares this condition and is eternally separated from God.

Jesus Christ, both God and man, God’s eternal Son, came into the world to save all people from their sin. By His suffering and death on the cross He has opened the way to heaven for every believer.

He physically rose from death and ascended to heaven. We await His promised coming to earth again when He will judge the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit, working through the Word of God, enables us to see our sinful condition, and gives the gift of faith.

Eternal life is ours by faith. This faith trusts in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We express our faith in works that serve both God and our neighbor.

Those who believe in Jesus as Savior and those who reject Him will be resurrected from the dead. Believers receive the gift of heaven and life with God. Unbelievers must endure punishment away from God eternally.

The Holy Spirit communicates God’s free grace through the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

In Baptism, individuals, regardless of age, are joined to the Body of Christ through the forgiveness of sins.

The Lord’s Supper is given to assure one of the forgiveness of sins as Christ gives His very Body and Blood to eat and to drink.

We are commissioned by Christ Jesus to “preach the Gospel to every human being” and to “make disciples of all nations.” We seek to grow in Christ “bearing one another’s burdens in love.”

We are committed to Making known the love of our Redeemer.
